Turbos
HOLSET HX40W and new SUPER 40 upgrade turbos.
Unlike
many turbos sold out of the box, we make the necessary modifications so these
turbos fit. The exhaust outlet is 4" and not 3" so we can also provide a
downpipe for the 2nd generation trucks. The Super 40 has a redesigned 7-blade
compressor and turbine wheel. The shaft is the same size but the assembly is
precision balanced as an assembly with the compressor.
HOLSET new Pro 52 turbos.
This
turbo is not a bolt on upgrade. It is for competition. It
requires an exhaust inlet adapter ($165) to bolt it to your
manifold. and it has a 4 9/16 exhaust outlet that you will have
to get your exhaust attached to. This turbo has a compressor
inducer measuring approx. 71mm and a 16cm2 NON-wastegated
turbine housing. It looks like a good strong turbo.
The Original HTB2
Often imitated - Never duplicated
The
HTB turbo series features very strong, high-flow turbos for
aftercooled Dodge Cummins engines. With a 4" exhaust system,
free-flowing air box and fuel enough to burn, 350-625 HP is the
comfort range for these turbos. The HTB line-up features
extremely durable and responsive chargers. Even after the
initial quick spool-up, our HTB turbos build boost even quicker
than other hybrid turbos so that there is plenty of boost at
low-end, for towing and, well, sheer fun. The result is minimal
smoke as well as even lower EGT's. We offer 4 compressor choices
culminating in the 66mm inducer of Sled Puller. You have a
choice of two different high-flow wastegated turbine housing
set-ups as well. You can get great spool-up. You can get drive
pressures down to 1:1 ratio at 45 lbs boost.
AN IMPORTANT FACTOR TO CONSIDER WITH YOUR TURBO PURCHASE IS INEXPENSIVE UPGRADEABILITY. WE DON'T WANT YOU TO GROW OUT OF YOUR TURBO IN 6 MONTHS.
These turbos can grow right along with your horsepower needs. When you send in your HTB2 or HTB2/64, the compressor will be upgraded to the next step up for only $150. When you send in your HTBG, the compressor will be upgraded to the next step up for only $500. This way you can't go wrong. Your don't have to purchase a turbo that is too big for you and you don't have to risk getting one too small. You can also get yout Turbine Housing upgraded. Your HTB 12cm2 turbine housing cab be traded for a 14cm2 housing (or 14 for 12) for just $200.00. Also, the outlet flanges can often machined to different styles.

This is a simple and inexpensive upgrade that provides a lot of performance for your dollar. By replacing the 21cm2 or 18cm2 on your truck, you will increase boost, low end performance as well as horsepower on your stock 1988-1993 truck. This is a simple bolt-on change. No modifications are required. You can also install this housing on 1994-2002 HX35W equipped trucks to replace the wastegated turbine housing that comes stock. BUT it will require moving the downpipe just over an inch forward. This housing will reduce backpressure and should reduce exhaust temperatures on these trucks.
When installing this housing on 99 and newer HX35W
trucks, you should purchase the angled exhaust outlet adapter supplied by
Cummins in order to ease installation.
This housing WON'T fit 2000 and newer automatic transmission trucks because they
use a Holset HY35 turbo and not the HX35. Specify the application you want to
use this housing on and ask us about mounting flange and oil drain gaskets.

By replacing the 12cm2 housing on your 94-2002 truck, this simple performance upgrade turbine housing will increase horsepower potential.
You can also install this housing on
1988-93 trucks BUT it will require moving the downpipe just over
an inch rearward. This housing will reduce backpressure and
should reduce exhaust temperatures on these trucks.
This housing WON'T fit 2000 and newer automatic transmission
trucks because they use a Holset HY35 turbo and not the HX35.

This is a simple and inexpensive upgrade that provides a lot of performance for your dollar. By replacing the 12cm2 on your truck, you should realize reduced backpressure, lower exhaust temperatures and increase horsepower potential. This is a simple bolt-on change. No modifications are required.
You can use this housing on your stock
1988-1993 truck also. On these applications it will increase
horsepower and boost BUT you must move the downpipe rearward
just over an inch.
When installing this housing on 99 and newer HX35W
trucks, you should purchase the angled exhaust outlet adapter
supplied by Cummins in order to ease installation.
This housing won't fit 2000 and newer automatic transmission

newer HX35W trucks, you should purchase the angled exhaust
outlet adapter supplied by us in order to ease installation.
This housing won't fit 2000 and newer automatic transmission
trucks because they use a Holset HY35 turbo instead of the HX35.

Compressor Housing & Wheel Upgrades
HX35W Upgrades
STAGE II UPGRADE COMPRESSOR HOUSING AND 58mm WHEEL - 95-02 DODGE/CUMMINS
If you're looking at modest performance gains, this upgrade will allow more air to meet the timing and fuel demands made to your engine. This housing and wheel mounts to your stock 1995-1998 12 valve turbos. Your stock compressor wheel measures 56mm. This upgrade wheel and housing measures 58mm and is used of many HX40 turbos.
This will only fit 1998 1/2 through 2002 24
valve trucks or California emission certified engines (54mm
wheel) after internal turbocharger modifications have been
performed but we can make these modifications for you at our
shop.
This modification should be used in combination with a turbine
housing larger than 12cm2.
In order to use this upgrade on 99-02 model years, you need to
purchase one of our performance exhaust housings because your
current boost pressure regulator mounts to your compressor
housing.
STAGE III UPGRADE COMPRESSOR HOUSING AND 60mm High Flow WHEEL - 95-02 DODGE/CUMMINS
This upgrade converts your stock HX35W turbo to our most popular HX35/HX40 hybrid turbo. It increases the air flow capacity of your stock turbo to match the increased fuel flow of performance fuel injectors and performance chips. Your stock compressor wheel measures 54-56mm. This is a 6 blade wheel measures that 60mm. It also features a larger "major" diameter for optimal flow. This wheel flows more air and it helps reduce EGT's even further.
This hybrid modification requires internal
turbocharger modifications but we can make these modifications
for you at our shop for about $85.00.
This modification should be used in combination with a turbine
housing larger than 12cm2.
In order to use this upgrade on 99-02 model years, you will need
one of our performance exhaust housings because your current
boost pressure regulator mounts to your compressor housing.
WH1C Upgrades
STAGE II UPGRADE COMPRESSOR HOUSING AND 58mm WHEEL - 91-94
DODGE/CUMMINS
For H1C, WH1C model Holset turbos
This upgrade will allow more air to meet the demands of minor fuel and timing changes made to your truck turbo. This wheel is the large wheel used in many WH1E turbos.
This housing and wheel mounts to your stock 12 valve 1991-1994 (It only bolts directly to the 91 trucks that came equipped with air-to-air charge air cooler.) Your stock compressor wheel measures 56mm unless your truck is a one-ton. This upgrade wheel measures 58mm.
This modification should be used in combination with a
turbine housing larger than 12cm2.
Note: Some 1994 WH1C turbos have been replaced in the field with HX35W turbos so
verify your turbo part number with us).
STAGE III UPGRADE COMPRESSOR HOUSING AND 60mm WHEEL - 91-94
DODGE/CUMMINS
For H1C, WH1C model Holset turbos
This upgrade will convert your stock H1C or WH1C turbo into a
H1C/H1E or WH1C/WH1E hybrid turbo. (This upgrade utilizes an 8
blade wheel and requires no machine work.)
This housing and wheel mounts to your stock 12 valve 1992-1994 (It
only bolts directly to the 91 trucks that came equipped with
air-to-air charge air cooler.) Your stock compressor wheel
measures 56mm unless your truck is a one ton. This upgrade wheel
measures 60mm.
No internal turbocharger modifications to your turbo are
required.
This modification should be used in
combination with a turbine housing larger than 12cm2.
Note: Some 1994 WH1C turbos have been replaced in the field with
HX35W turbos so verify your turbo part number with us.
Exhaust
Silverline exhaust systems are available in three different types of steel. For the diesel owner that wants the best, top of the line - T304 stainless steel offers superior resistance to corrosion, is able to withstand high levels of heat and can be polished to a mirror bright finish. The value-priced stainless series is made of 409 - a type of steel used in exhaust manufacturing for many years, and is what some consider to be the best bang for your buck!! Aluminized Steel is lighter both in color and in weight and is the least expensive of the three.
